Garden Variety 2 is a continuation of Garden Variety and Fog Variations, live and improvised compositions for electric Kora and devices.
Streamed LIVE on Facebook the day of Garden Variety’s release on July 19, 2020, Garden Variety 2 is a sort of contrast to its predecessor.

That morning I was thinking in what ways can I could avoid some of my own conventions, keep it fresh, perhaps play more, effect and loop less. So, there seems to be an earthier quality to it.
Even the titles strayed from the norm, more allusions to the garden, the creative process, with an air of optimism, stopping at flowering rather than taking the narrative to nature’s ultimate conclusion.

Garden Variety 2 is part of the continuum, a snapshot into COVID-19 era bursts of life force expressed, in a moment, as a stream, of consciousness, putting the breath to use for good, to make a noise, in the stillness of a community garden for all to witness with eyes and ears, from seed to flowering...manifestation now.
