Swim To The Sun is a collection of ambient tracks recorded during the time I was just learning how to make music on a computer, between 2000 and 2003.
I was mostly using Propellerheads Reason and the first four tracks on the album were composed together to be released as an EP.
All four tracks were Combinator instruments I had created and I composed them using my father's Yamaha GT-2 GranTouch White Baby Grand Piano using midi.

The remaining tracks were recorded between 2003 and 2005. Each one used different instruments and combinations of instruments. Embers was composed live during a dance class at ODC in San Francisco using the Subtractor synth in Reason and the Line 6 DL4 looper. Polaroid Horizon was also recorded in a dance class and I used the Roland Handsonic, Korg Wavedrum and Yamaha QY-70. Shimmering Water was my voice going through the Line 6 DL4 and multitracked in Logic. Bloomfield Road is a solo synth track using the Roland Jupiter 8 which later became a key instrument in the dreamy sound of Colfax.
