Four Dance Pieces is music composed for four different choreographers between 2009 and 2018.

Bicycle Music was a collaboration with choreographer Jo Krieter and aerialist Sadia DeLavibora in which Sadia does aerial dance with a bicycle suspended by rope.
I chose to compose the entire score using just my Brompton folding bike as a sound source.

Your Own Way was composed for dancer/choreographer Milissa Payne and features the kora as solo instrument and sound source in addition to vocal samples and electronics.

Second Chances is an emotional work by choreographer Leigh Riley which explores grief after the death of a loved one and the dream of having a second chance for connection or even closure.
I chose the ukulele as the lead instrument but it also features piano.
I’d been waiting years to release this one. It’s one of my favorite works and has caught the attention of fans of dance who’ve seen and heard the work.

Fractured Shades was a piece created for pre-professional teen dancers at Berkeley Ballet Theatre under the direction of Raymond Ejiofor. It’s an electronic work that features the Roland Handsonic playing Hang samples, piano and Ondomo (Ondes Martenot) as a solo instrument for the final theme.
Epic in nature, Fractured Shades ends the collection with a bang!

Overall these four pieces fit very well together and help to fill in the puzzle pieces of my body of work.
